'Sex And The City 2' handed release date
Published Friday, Apr 3 2009, 13:18 BST | By Lara Martin

The sequel to Sex And The City: The Movie will land in cinemas on May 28, 2010, the same weekend that the original movie debuted in 2008. No other films are currently scheduled for release at the same time.
All four main cast members - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - have signed new contracts, while Jennifer Hudson has admitted that she is hoping to reprise the role of Louise from St. Louis.
So far, the cast and crew have remained tight-lipped over possible storylines for the highly-anticipated follow-up, although Parker has suggested that the sequel will be a "massive romp" and could take account of the current economic climate.
Filming is scheduled to begin this summer.
