'Fast & Furious' speeds to US top spot

The fourth instalment in the fast car action series, which reunites Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, pulls in $72.5 million to knock Monsters Vs. Aliens from the number one spot.
The impressive haul beats Anger Management's $42 million take in 2003. Fast & Furious also surpasses the $50 million opening for 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003.
The only other new release, teen comedy Adventureland, lands at number six.
