'Ice Castles' remake in the works

Taylor Firth has signed up to star in Ice Castles.
The figure skater has been announced as the lead in the remake of the 1978 movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Filming on the love story set against the backdrop of competitive figure skating is currently underway in Nova Scotia, Canada. It will also star Henry Czerny, Rob Mayes and skater Molly Oberstar.
Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan is scheduled to make a cameo in the movie.
Original director Donald Wrye is helming the film, about a blind skater (played by Lynn-Holly Johnson in the first movie) who continues to pursue her championship dreams with the help of her boyfriend Nick.
The 1970s version was nominated for an Oscar for the song ‘Theme from Ice Castles (Through the Eyes of Love)’.
