'Hannah' takes Easter box office crown

Hannah Montana: The Movie has topped the US box office over the Easter weekend.

The cinema spinoff from Miley Cyrus's hit Disney Channel TV show goes straight to number one with $34 million in ticket sales.

Last week's chart topper Fast & Furious falls to number two, while Monsters Vs. Aliens, new release Observe And Report and Knowing round out the top five.

Elsewhere, the big-budget manga adaptation Dragonball Evolution fails to make much of a dent at the box office, entering at number eight with $4.6 million in box office receipts.
