Reilly 'threatened to sue Winterbottom'

The Durutti Column guitarist told The Queitus that he never had sex in a toilet with Tony Wilson's wife Lindsay as written in the original screenplay.
He was replaced by former Buzzcocks and Magazine frontman Howard Devoto for this scene in the finished movie.
Reilly said: "I've never had sex in a toilet with anybody! I've never had sex with Tony's wife! There were several things like that in the script I received, so I contacted Michael Winterbottom and said look, if you don't take those scenes out, I'll sue you.
"I'm not precious, but that's factually wrong. My family were going to see this film! Either take them out or I'll sue you. So they cut out loads of scenes I was going to be in."
The guitarist also admitted that he does not like his own music and does not listen to it, though he enjoys "the physicality of playing a guitar and putting a piece of music together".
The Durutti Column will play a specially-written instrumental tribute to the late Wilson at this year's Manchester International Festival on July 15-17 at the Pavilion Theatre.
