According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox will play one half of a couple who are carjacked on their way home from a holiday in Mexico. Her husband is kidnapped by the criminals and Fox's character is forced to smuggle drugs across the border to guarantee his safe release.
The project is scripted by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi and the film is expected to begin shooting in July. Screen Gems are currently searching for a director.
Fox's other upcoming projects include Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, the Diablo Cody scripted Jennifer's Body and Jonah Hex.
