The movie, about a modern-day burlesque dancer, is written and directed by Steve Antin, E! reports. It is currently unclear which role Aguilera is being considered for or whether she has read for it.
Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough is also thought to be in line to appear as a pregnant dancer alongside the 'Dirrty' singer.
Burlesque is scheduled to begin shooting in January 2010.
