17 Again has gone straight to the top of the US box office on its first weekend on release.
The comedy, about a middle-aged man (Matthew Perry) who is transformed back into his 17-year-old self (Zac Efron) and returns to high school, scores a $24 million opening to knock Hannah Montana from the box office summit.
Russell Crowe thriller State Of Play debuts at number two with $14 million. The week's other new release, Crank: High Voltage, bows at number six.
Elsewhere, Monsters Vs. Aliens holds onto third spot, while Fast & Furious slips to number five.
