Mara in talks for 'Nightmare On Elm Street'

The up-and-coming actress, who has appeared on US TV shows ER and Law & Order: SVU, will take on the role played by Heather Langenkamp in Wes Craven's 1984 original, says website Bloody Disgusting.
Jackie Earle Haley signed up to portray the new Freddy Krueger earlier this month, while Kyle Gallner and Thomas Dekker have also been tapped for roles in Samuel Bayer's reimaging of the horror classic.
A Nightmare On Elm Street will be released on April 16, 2010.
