Dreyfuss, Rhames board 'Piranha 3-D'

Richard Dreyfuss and Ving Rhames have signed up to appear in Alexandre Aja's 3-D remake of Piranha.

Dreyfuss will cameo in the horror film in a role that pays homage to his part in Jaws, according to Shock Till You Drop.

Details have yet to be revealed about Rhames's character, though he will join Elisabeth Shue and Adam Scott when the movie begins shooting next month in Arizona.

The original 1978 Piranha, directed by Joe Dante, revolved around a batch of flesh-hungry fish who are accidentally released into a river. The movie led to a sequel, Piranha Part Two: The Spawning, the first feature film directed by James Cameron.
