Streep to receive lifetime achievement award

The star will receive the Rome Film Festival's Marcus Aurelius award for her contribution to cinema, according to Variety.
The Oscar-winning actress is also reported to be discussing her career on stage during the event, which takes place from October 15 - 23.
Streep holds the record for the most Academy Award nominations received by any actor with 15. She won best supporting actress for 1979 film Kramer Vs. Kramer and best actress for Sophie’s Choice in 1982.
The 59-year-old also holds the record for the most Golden Globe nominations with 23, along with Jack Nicholson and Angela Lansbury. However, she has the most wins with six trophies.
Previous recipients of the Marcus Aurelius award include Al Pacino and Sean Connery.
