Will Ferrell linked to 'Neighbourhood'

Will Ferrell is in talks about taking the lead role in David Dobkin's new comedy Neighbourhood Watch.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, discussions about Ferrell's involvement are still at an early stage.

Shaun Levy, who was originally attached to direct the movie, will now co-produce.

Neighbourhood Watch tells the story of "an urbanite who gets more than he bargained for when he moves to the suburbs". The film also involves an alien sub-plot and sci-fi element.

Dobkin, whose credits include Wedding Crashers and Fred Claus, is also currently working on action adventure The Flash and romantic comedy Helium.
