Philip K. Dick's novel Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said is to be turned into a feature film.

Halcyon, the company behind the forthcoming Terminator Salvation, owns first-look rights to Dick's estate and has chosen to move forward with Tears as the first adaptation under the agreement, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The book's story revolves around a genetically enhanced singer and TV star who has his identity erased from existence.

Halcyon's Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson will develop and produce the project alongside Isa Dick Hackett and Laura Leslie from Dick's Electric Shepherd production firm, and Dale Rosenbloom and John Alan Simon.

Previous Dick stories mined by Hollywood include Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report and A Scanner Darkly.
