Hemsworth in talks to lead 'Thor' cast

According to Variety, the Australian actor is in final talks to play the hammer-wielding superhero for director Kenneth Branagh.
The movie will see the title character banished from Asgard by his father Odin to teach him a lesson in humility. He later becomes a protector for Earth alongside Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America.
Hemsworth, who recently appeared as James T. Kirk's father in Star Trek, will also play Thor in The Avengers, to be released in 2012.
Thor is expected to arrive in cinemas on May 20, 2011.
