Speaking to DS about his new film Awaydays (released in cinemas this Friday), Graham said that he hopes to start work on King Of The Gypsies with Meadows "next year".
"That's still happening, hopefully," he said of Meadows's biopic of the late bare-knuckle boxer Bartley Gorman. "I'd carry a cup of tea in a shop for Shane. I think he's an amazing director and a lovely man."
Meadows co-wrote Gypsies with Paddy Considine, who is expected to take the role of Gorman. Toby Kebbell told DS at the start of the year that he is eyeing a part in the drama.
