The Sam Taylor-Wood-directed Nowhere Man explores the former Beatle's childhood years and stars Aaron Johnson and Kristin Scott Thomas as John and his Aunt Mimi respectively.
Julian told the Evening Standard: "It's weird. I know what I know, I like what I know, and I don't like some of what I know and I don't particularly want to see someone else's variation on that.
"But Sam seems extremely nice and the film looks as though it will be something interesting."
Julian, John's eldest son, was born in 1963 as the only child from his first marriage to Cynthia Powell.
