'Twilight' tipped to top DVD sales

Price comparison website Kelkoo based its prediction on recorded DVD, music and book sales related to the teen vampire franchise, as well as the number of searches for the disc it has logged in recent weeks.
It said that this year's sales of the film had already matched those seen for Mamma Mia!, which became the bestselling DVD ever on Amazon, The Daily Telegraph reports.
Kelkoo marketing director Lloyd Price said: "Twilight has made a successful transition from its beginnings as a book with a mainly teenage cult following, to a mainstream movie franchise which has attracted a large volume of soundtrack CD and DVD sales.
"Twilight's initial popularity in the US appears to be gathering momentum across Europe at a fast pace with a large fan base also in the UK. It's on course to be the DVD of the year."
