'Inglourious Basterds' is "kosher porn"

The movie revolves around a group of Jewish-American soldiers embarking on a revenge mission against the Nazis in wartime France, something that Roth views as wish-fulfillment.
"I'm Jewish, and to me this was kosher porn, something that I fantasised about since I was a child," Roth said at the movie's Cannes Film Festival press conference.
Star Brad Pitt revealed that he agreed to take on the role of Lt. Aldo Raine last summer after a meeting with director Tarantino. "When I woke up, there were five empty bottles of wine and I guess I committed because six weeks later, I was in uniform," he said.
Discussing the decision to debut Inglourious Basterds in Cannes, Tarantino said: "For me, there's no place like Cannes for filmmakers on the face of the Earth. During this time here on the Riviera cinema matters, it's important. I'm not an American filmmaker, I make movies for planet Earth, and Cannes is the place that represents that."
Tarantino also refused to explain his spelling of the movie's title, insisting that it would take away its meaning.
"It's not a typo!" he said. "I'm never going to explain that. You do an artistic flourish like that, to describe it and explain it is just to take the p*ss out of it and invalidate the whole stroke in the first place."
Inglourious Basterds will arrive in US and UK cinemas on August 21.
