The Oscar-winning performer is said to be considering the role of the owner of the burlesque club where Aguilera’s character works, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The project would mark the 63-year-old's return to the big screen after a six year absence. She recently signed on to star in The Drop-Out and had a cameo as herself in the comedy Stuck On You.
Aguilera has been cast as a small town girl who pursues her dreams at a cabaret venue.
The film is being directed by Steve Antin.
