Dustin Hoffman joins 'Barney's Version'

Hoffman will play a reckless cop and father-of-two who is named as a "person of interest" in the disappearance of his friend. The film is based on Mordecai Richler's final novel.
Veteran TV director Richard J. Lewis (CSI) will helm the project from a script by Michael Konyves.
Hoffman can next be seen in romantic drama Last Chance Harvey, released in the UK on June 5.
