Veteran actress Lauren Bacall has complained that today's film stars have too many hangers-on, according to Female First.
"They have their entourages of managers and press relations people," she reportedly said. "It's today's world, but it's not my world.
"I was in a better situation. I was married to Humphrey Bogart and I was a very happy female. But we had no PR, no entourage.
"Bogey, Henry Fonda, Bette Davis, Spencer Tracy and James Stewart never had it. The great stars of motion pictures never had all the garbage they have now."
Bacall shocked film fans earlier this week when she cut off a reporter who described Nicole Kidman as a "screen legend".
She said at the time, "She's not a legend. She's a beginner. What is this 'legend'? She can't be a legend at whatever age she is. You have to be older."
