'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' gets remake

The original movie, which also starred Helen Hunt and featured Shannen Doherty and Hank Azaria in early roles, focuses on two girls who bond over their obsession with the popular show Dance TV.
Michelle Morgan has been commissioned to write a script for the new version, reports Variety.
Morgan recently sold the romantic comedy script Is He The One to Fox and Imogene to Anonymous Content.
