McG: 'Bill Murray headbutted me'

Rex Features

Terminator Salvation director McG has claimed that he was headbutted by Bill Murray.

Speaking to The Guardian, the filmmaker revealed that his confrontation with Murray came when the pair were working together on Charlie's Angels.

"I don't think there's been a film I've made where there hasn't been some kind of physical fight," he said. "I mean, I've been headbutted by an A-list star. Square in the head. An inch later and my nose would have been obliterated."

Pressed to disclose the identity of the actor, McG replied: "I probably shouldn't. But it was Bill Murray. Y'know, it's a passionate industry."

Murray portrayed Bosley in the 2000 Charlie's Angels adaptation, but was replaced by Bernie Mac in sequel Full Throttle.
