Pop star Jessica Simpson will make her feature film acting debut in a big screen remake of 80's TV classic The Dukes of Hazzard.
The production has previously announced Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville to play cousins Bo and Luke Duke. Simpson will play cousin Daisy Duke.
Between 1979 to 1985 viewers were hooked on the adventures of Bo and Luke who drove around in a souped-up Dodge Charger car, nicknamed 'The General Lee'. The 3 cousins all lived with their Uncle Jesse in the fictional area of Hazzard County.
Other key characters were the corrupt local authorities of Boss Hogg and Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane.
