Efron 'ecstatic' about Crawford replacement

The 17 Again star dropped out of the Paramount remake earlier this year after fearing that he would become typecast in musical roles.
"I’m ecstatic for him. We’re both in very different places and it just happened to work out. I think it’s gonna work out for the best," he said.
Efron, 21, added that he is unsure what his next project will be but is eager to take a break from the limelight while he considers his options.
"I gotta regroup because this is all fun and kind of crazy and there’s lots of great people here, but it doesn’t make you feel like a real person," he explained.
"So it’s nice to take some time off and remember what your life’s about."
