Javier Bardem will play the villain in Oliver Stone's Wall Street sequel, according to Deadline Hollywood Daily.

The follow-up to 1987's finanical drama will see the No Country For Old Men Oscar-winner face off against Michael Douglas's Gordon Gekko and Shia LaBeouf's young stockbroker.

Allan Loeb (21, Things We Lost In The Fire) has scripted the project under the title Money Never Sleeps. The story reportedly finds Gekko finishing his prison sentence and attempting to reconcile with his estranged daugher, who is dating LaBeouf's character.

Production on Wall Street 2 begins on August 10 for a February 2010 release.
