Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich has signed up to appear in a film which explores domestic violence and its consequences.
Jovovich plays a woman who, along with her husband, is involved in small crimes in New York.
The movie is titled .45 and is set in the 1970s.
Filming begins in New York in November.
