Craven calls new film 'revolutionary'

Wes Craven has claimed that his upcoming film 25/8 could be "groundbreaking".

The horror veteran, who produced this week's remake of Last House On The Left, is excited to see how audiences respond to his next directorial outing.

"It's more like a psychological thriller than a straight-up horror film," he told DS. "It's actually, I think, quite innovative and groundbreaking in the sense that it's a horror film but not really in any sense that they have been in the past. I think that's going to be a revolutionary film. It will either be out late this year or early next year."

25/8 centres on seven teens who are haunted by a serial killer who supposedly died 15 years earlier. It takes place over the course of a day as the mystery of who is stalking the teens unravels.
