Peter Morgan will co-write the next James Bond film with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, MGM and EON Productions have announced.

Morgan, Oscar-nominated for Frost/Nixon and The Queen, has been tasked with penning the next spy adventure for Daniel Craig alongside series regulars Purvis and Wade.

"Peter, Neal and Robert are extraordinarily talented and we're looking forward to working with the three of them," said franchise producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

Morgan also wrote The Other Boleyn Girl and recent Brian Clough film The Damned United. Purvis and Wade have worked on every 007 film since 1999's The World Is Not Enough.

The 23rd Bond movie, which will reportedly shoot in Afghanistan, is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2011.
