Kinnear, Preston sign for Cyrus's 'Song'

The Disney film, which is based on an upcoming Nicholas Sparks novel, will be helmed by British director Julie Anne Robinson.
The project casts Cyrus as a rebellious teenager who spends the summer with the father who abandoned her three years earlier. Tailored specifically for the Hannah Montana star, she will act and not sing in the drama.
Kinnear is the "estranged father", a "former Julliard professor and concert pianist", while Preston plays the mother. Liam Hemsworth has been cast as a beach volleyball-playing member of the "local cool crowd".
Shooting begins in Georgia on Monday.
