MI5's most famous secret agent James Bond will have to wait a little longer than planned for his next mission.
Production company MGM have today confirmed that they are still yet to cast a new actor to play 007 in his 21st outing.
Bond's next mission, thought to be called The Man with the Red Tattoo, has been written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who also wrote previous Bond films Die Another Day and The World Is Not Enough.
The next film was thought to be due for release in November 2005, however producers are now debating whether to put it back until the Summer or November of 2006.
Pierce Brosnan has played Bond for the last four films. Earlier this year he complained that he hadn't been approached to feature in this next film, saying: "They know where to find me if they want me. I'd love to do another bit. But I'll always be James Bond because that is a role you live with for life."
The rumour mill suggests that Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, Orlando Bloom and even Robbie Williams have been tipped for the role of 007.
