Emily Blunt has said that she prefers not to talk too much about the acting process.

The Young Victoria star told The Observer that she does not think too often about how she does her job.

Blunt said: "I don't really take it that seriously. Maybe I'm supposed to but I don't. I can't define what the method is. I don't really think you know what you're going to do until you do it.

"I think it's embarrassing to hear people talk about their process because you always sound a bit w**ky. You always imagine people are reading the article going: 'Oh, get a real job.'"

She added: "The performances I enjoy are the ones that are hard to read or ambiguous or left-of-centre because it makes you look closer and that's what humans are like - quite mysterious creatures, hard to pinpoint."
