Showing a taste for the cinematic in his iconic music videos for 'Thriller' and 'Bad' (directed by John Landis and Martin Scorsese respectively), it was inevitable that Michael Jackson would find himself in demand for the big screen. Though his movie appearances were few, he famously fronted his own star vehicle in 1988 with Moonwalker and lent his songs to many soundtracks, including Zoolander, Free Willy and Rush Hour.

Jackson made his movie debut as The Scarecrow in 1978's 'The Wiz'. Sidney Lumet's Oscar-nominated 'Wizard Of Oz' remake also starred Diana Ross as Dorothy.
