'Fat Slags' to flop
Published Tuesday, Oct 12 2004, 16:44 BST | By Daniel Saney
The upcoming movie Fat Slags starring ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Naomi Campbell was billed as the British comedy of the summer, but now its producers have decided it is not even worth its own premiere, saying that "none of the talent was available".
Test screenings have yielded poor reactions and the film, based on the comic-strip in Viz, is expected to do badly. The Daily Mirror was told that "The truth is that no-one wanted to spend thousands of pounds promoting a turkey."
