The real-life setting of Stephenie Meyer's popular novels, which the film franchise is based upon, recently hosted 'Summer School In Forks: A Twilight Symposium', where devotees of the vampire series attended related classes, a prom and field trips, reports MTV.
The small US town, populated by about 3,000 people, has received an influx of cash from fans visiting the area, while local shops are selling Twilight memorabilia.
"The town was having some major economic issues because their major export was logging - then Twilight came along," author-blogger Kaleb Nation explained. "And if you look at Forks now, Stephenie has transformed this town into a Twilight tourism economy. It's crazy."
Nearby flower shop owner Charlene Cross added: "Business is three times what it normally would be. [Before] I sold flowers strictly - holidays, funerals, weddings would be a good time. Now it's a daily thing, and I think it's only going to get bigger."
It was recently announced that filming for the third instalment of the franchise will begin this summer in Canada.
