Statham, Considine for crime film 'Blitz'

The Transporter actor has been cast as Detective Sergeant Brant, a psychotic and homophobic police officer who takes on the case of a serial killer, coined 'The Blitz' by the UK tabloids, who is murdering police across London.
Paddy Considine (Dead Man's Shoes, The Bourne Ultimatum) will portray an openly gay officer who has to work with Brant.
"I think Jason Statham will really step up to the plate for Brant, he's been looking for a part to make his own and I think this is it," commented novelist Bruen.
Elliott Lester is attached to direct Blitz from a script by Nathan Parker (Moon).
