The Six Feet Under actor will play the father of Alex Pettyfer's character, a rich teen who has a curse placed upon him by a witch classmate (Mary-Kate Olsen), says Variety.
High School Musical's Hudgens is playing the girl who Pettyfer's disfigured character must win over in the CBS Films fantasy. Neil Patrick Harris is also among the cast as a blind tutor who befriends Pettyfer.
Beastly is filming in Montreal with Daniel Barnz in the director's chair. Barnz also adapted the screenplay from Alex Flinn's novel.
