Dempsey joins 'Valentine's Day' rom-com

Fellow Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane has also signed up for the Gary Marshall-directed project.
The ensemble cast includes Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher and Emma Roberts.
Valentine's Day, which begins shooting next month, will follow five interconnecting tales which play out in Los Angeles on February 14.
Dempsey is cast as a "married obstetrician" who is secretly dating Garner's character without her knowing about his marital status. Dane will play a American footballer who is considering retirement.
