Julie Andrews has told fans what they can expect from the DVD re-release of her classic film Mary Poppins.
Andrews told Yahoo Movies, "There is a brand new DVD coming out for the 40th anniversary and it's wonderful. It's a double DVD and apart from the movie there are glorious outtakes and rehearsal footage, still photographs, interviews with those of us who are still around, and even a new little animated film that I was part of.
"There was something wonderful that happened; when you do a DVD you watch the movie and make a commentary about it while you're watching it, and having just come off Shrek 2 and seeing the state-of-the-art things that they can do these days I looked at this 40 year old movie, and I thought 'My God, you don't see a single crack in the magic', you don't see how it's done, they didn't strain for anything.
"Forty years ago they did a phenomenal job making that movie because you never know how it's done - even today, so I feel rather good about it!"
