I, Robot star Will Smith has admitted that he turned down a role in the upcoming movie version of Miami Vice.
Teen Hollywood reports that Smith was offered the part of Detective Ricardo Tubbs, who was played by Philip Michael Thomas in the original TV show. However, he decided to turn down the offer and the part went to Jamie Foxx instead.
He explained, "[We] discussed it, but it feels like kind of [too close to] Bad Boys, because I played a vice detective in Miami already."
The movie will begin production next year.
