Staunton starred as Hogwarts's High Inquisitor Dolores Umbridge in 2007's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, while Broadbent took on the role of Professor Slughorn in the most recent wizarding movie.
Speaking to Snitchseeker, producer David Heyman revealed that Staunton will reprise her villainous role, saying: "We haven't [discussed how evil her character has become], but we will. She's familiar with the book."
Broadbent confirmed his return in a recent interview with BBC News, branding the character "irresistable" and saying that he had "no apprehensions" about joining the blockbuster franchise.
He added: "He's a teacher and we've all had teachers... there was enough I could draw on to pick up on various characteristics of some of my old teachers, and that's certainly where I first went for inspiration."
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released in two parts, with the first instalment expected in 2010.
