Commercial director Fredrik Bond has been named as the director of Rogue Pictures' movie adaptation of Devil's Due Publishing's Hack/Slash.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Bond's first full-length film will be a live-action remake of the horror comic.

Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli's Hack/Slash is the story of Cassandra "Cassie" Hack, the archetypal lone survivor of a slasher film, who makes it her mission to hunt down serial killers before they can kill again with the aid of her companion Vlad.

Bond is also attached to direct upcoming films The Hunger and South Korean monster movie remake The Host.

Hack/Slash is scheduled to begin filming this winter.
