Radcliffe keen to close door on 'Potter'

Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he hopes J.K. Rowling does not write any more Harry Potter novels.

The 19-year-old actor, who has played the boy wizard on screen since 2000, warned that the bestselling author could destroy her reputation by penning further stories about the character.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Radcliffe explained: "Honestly, after the seventh film, I don't think she should do any more. I think it would have to be something pretty good.

"But Jo Rowling's such an intelligent person, she knows. She knows if she was ever going to consider doing another, it would have to be bulletproof. It would have to be an almost perfect book not to get slaughtered.

"So hopefully she won't, but if she does, of course I would have to consider it, because I have a loyalty to her and to the fans."

Radcliffe is currently filming the movie version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is expected to be the last in the series.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is in cinemas now.
