Len Wiseman to helm 'Shrapnel'

Len Wiseman has attached himself to graphic novel adaptation Shrapnel, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Die Hard 4.0 filmmaker will develop and produce the project for Radical Pictures alongside Barry Levine and Mark Gordon.

The science fiction comic, created by Nick Sagan and Mark Long, takes place in a future where humans have formed a Solar Alliance to rule the planets.

"I am really drawn to the reluctant-hero story," said Wiseman, who is considering making the film in 3D.

Wiseman is also working on a Gears Of War movie for Warner Bros and DreamWorks underwater thriller Atlantis Rising.
