'Emo Boy' gets Cruikshank, King

Lucas Cruikshank and Jaime King have been cast in Vanguard Films's graphic novel adaptation Emo Boy, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Stephen Emond's cult comic series centres on an over-sensitive high school teen who believes that his emotions give him superpowers.

Cruikshank will play the eponymous character with support from King as Mrs Hutcherson, his teacher and an "emo sympathiser".

Kyle Newman is on board to direct Emo Boy based on Emond's screenplay.
