The filmmaker, who previously claimed that Yorke had expressed an interest in penning a track for the Twilight sequel, told HitFix.com that he will be listening to the star's offering later today.
"Unless it's sounds of him belching, I think I'll put it in," he joked, saying: "I selfishly want to put songs in by artists I love, and some the cast and crew happen to love."
Weitz went on to say that he had also secured a new track from indie-folk singer-songwriter Bon Iver, explaining: "I think [Bon Iver] is fantastic. He says he wrote it for the film, but whoever knows if it might just be something laying around in his cupboard."
He added that British rock group Band Of Skulls will also be included on the soundtrack, and admitted that he was "still hoping to get Kings Of Leon".
However, earlier this year, Kings Of Leon frontman Caleb Followill is reported to have told Entertainment Weekly that the band were too busy to work on any material for the film.
