Appearing on The Howard Stern Show with his Funny People director Judd Apatow, Rogen took issue with Heigl's earlier remarks that Knocked Up is sexist and portrays women as "shrews".
"I gotta say it's not like we're the only people she said some bats**t crazy things about," Rogen said. "That's kind of her bag now."
Apatow, who also helmed Knocked Up, stepped in to explain Heigl's comments, saying: "She probably was doing six hours of interviews and kissing everyone's ass, and then just got tired and slipped a little bit."
Rogen fired back: "I didn't slip and I was doing f**king interviews all day too... I didn't say s**t!"
The comic actor also mocked Heigl's latest romantic comedy The Ugly Truth. "That [movie] looks like it really puts women on a pedestal in a beautiful way," he said.
