Summit Entertainment recently confirmed that Lefevre, who played villainous vampire Victoria, would be replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in Eclipse, the third instalment in the saga.
Speaking to OK, Serratos (Angela Weber) said: "It saddened me to hear about Rachelle and she will be greatly missed.
"Although under these circumstances, I am excited to work with Bryce and can't wait to start filming!"
Earlier this week, Lefevre insisted that she had been "stunned" to learn about her departure, prompting Summit to issue a statement suggesting that she had shown a "lack of co-operative spirit" by not informing the studio of her other filming commitments.
Production on Eclipse is scheduled to begin next month in Vancouver, ahead of a slated June 30 release date next year.
