Billy Crudup cast in 'Eat, Pray, Love'

Billy Crudup has been added to the cast of Columbia Pictures's Eat, Pray, Love, according to Variety.

The Public Enemies star joins Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem and Richard Jenkins in the adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's memoir.

Crudup will play the wife of Roberts's character, whose desire to have a child is dashed when his wife heads off on a self-discovery trip around the world.

Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy is writing and directing Eat, Pray, Love from a script he wrote with Jennifer Salt. Brad Pitt is producing the film through his Plan B firm.
