Brosnan in 'Thomas Crown' sequel

Variety reports that the follow-up to The Thomas Crown Affair will also star Pierce Brosnan and will be entitled The Topkapi Affair.
The film will include components from 1964 film Topkapi and the novel on which it was based, The Light of Day, by Eric Ambler. The 1999 Crown was itself a remake of the 1968 Steve McQueen film.
The original Topkapi, directed by Jules Dassin, saw a small-time con man getting mixed up with jewellery theives in Instanbul.
